NCC Special Entry Scheme 32nd Course October-2012 Short Service Commission (SSC) (Non-Technology) (OTA, Chennai) for Male & Female

The Indian Army is looking for a few good Men and Women. For the best and the brighest amongst you. For men/women with intellect, idealism and courage. Applications are invited from unmarried/married male and unmarried female or widow of defence candidates for for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.
  • Vacancies : 58 posts [50 posts  for male and 08 posts for women (10% reserved for wards of Battle Casualties of Army only)

  • Age : Not below 19 years and not over 25 years (not born earlier than 02 July 1987 and not later than 01 July 1993) 

  • The Criteria of NCC 'C' Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for SSC (Non-Technical) at Officers Training Academy, Chennai : (i) Educational Qualification : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all years. (ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division of NCC (iii) Grading : Should have minimum of 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam of NCC. 

  • Wards of Battle Casualties : Holding of NCC 'C' Certificate at the time of filling of applications not required. Wards of Battle Casualties send their applications direct to Addl. Dte. Gen of Recruiting, Recruiting NCC Entry, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. A letter to the effect that the parent has been killed/ wounded/ reported missing in action issued by MP/Dte/ Respective Regimental Records and a copy of Part II Order notifying injuries and being classified as Battle Casualtieis in case of Service/Medically boarded out pers. Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Dte 15/02/2012 for this category. 

  • Pay Scale & Stipend : Stipend during the period of training is Rs.21000/-. On completion they will be commissioned as Lt in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 wth Grade Pay 5400 and MSP Rs.6000/- and other allowances. 

  • Method of Selection : All Applications in the prescribed format will be forwarded to Rtg. Directorate (NCC) through HQ DG NCC. The NCC Units/GP HQs will forward the applications to State Directorates who in turn will forward the same to Hq DG NCC. On arrival at the SSB, the Shortlisted candidates will be administered stage-1 of the two stage testing procedure. 

  • Medical Examination : Candidates recommended by the SSB will go under Medical Examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.
How to Apply: Apply on the plain paper as per the prescribed format. Applications should be posted to the Units from where the NCC 'C' certificate has been issued. Applications of candidates serving in the Armed Forces duly counter-signed by the commanding Officer should be sent to the OC, NCC West Block- IV , R.K. Puram, New Delhi - 110066. All NCC units will forward the application to DDG, NCC of the concerned state. DDG NCC will process all applications and forward them to Dte Gen NCC.

  • Last date of receipt of application at Rtg Dte from Dte Gen NCC - 01/04/2012

Become a Junior Commission Officer (JCO) (Religious Teacher) in the Army (RT Pandit, RT Granthi and RT Maulvi)


Applications are invited from male candidates only for recruitment as Junior Commissioned Officer (Religious Teacher) for RRT 67 course in the Indian Army who fulfill the following eligibility criteria for RT Puandit, Granthi and Maulvi :
  • JCO Religious Teacher : 40 posts (Pandit-26, Granthi - 8, Maulvi-6)
  • Qualification : The minimum educational qualification for appointment will be graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. In addition they must alsp possess one of the qualification accding to the religious denomination of the individuals (see detailed adv.).
  • Age : 27-34 years  and 25-34 for remustered candidates.
  • Physical Standard: As applicable to the regular army [Height-155cm, Weight-50Kg, Chest - 77 cm, Candidate should be able to run one mile in eight minutes.
  • Pay Scale : JCO will get the pay scale of Naib Subedar of Rs. 9300-34800/-

How to Apply: Candidates are required to submit duly filled prescribed Application Form along with all required documents duly superscribed "Application for JCO ( Religious Teacher) RRT-67 Course" on the top outer coever of the envelope to designated Recruitment Zone latest by 06/08/2011.

Applications are invited from unmarried male who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Indian Army.

  • Posts : 85 posts
  • Qualification : 10+2 (PCM) with 70% marks.
  • Age : 16 and half to 19 and half years i.e. born between 01 July 1992 and and 01 July 1995 (both days inclusive)
  • Physical Standard: min. height 152 cm and weight 42 kg., better eye 6/6 and worst eye 6/18
  • Type of Commission : On susccessful completion of 4 years of the course cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt. in Arms/Services as per discretion of Army Hq.
  • Pay Scale : Candidates will be entitled to pay sclae of Rs.15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus MSP Rs.6000 and other allowances.
Method of Selection: Only selected (shortlisted) candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview at Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore for fivesselection process. In which candidates will be put through Psychological test, Group Test and Interview.

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals both male and female who have passed their final MBBS examination for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Medical Corps. Applicants for who have taken more than 2 chances in final MBBS need not apply.

Vacancies : 100 posts



Eligibility: Candidates must possess medical qualification. Post Graduate degree holders i.e. MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM may also apply. PG Degree in following subjects will be given preference (a) Anaesthesia (b) Surgery (c) Obstetrics & Gyenaecology (d) Medicine (e) Orthopedics (f) Respiratory Medicine. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI. Candidates who will be complting internship by the last date of submission of application may also apply.

Age : must not have attained 45 years of age on 31st Dec 2011.
Pay Band : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade pay Rs.6100 + Military Service Pay (MSP) Rs.6000 + NPA @25% of Basic+Grade Pay+MSP and other
Method of Selection : Eligible candidates will be called for interview by a Board of officers by a Board of Officers in the month of Jul/Aug  2011 at Army Hospital (Research & Referral) New Delhi, Near Daula Kuan, Delhi Cantt.
Tenure : The tenure is of 5 years extendable by another 5 years (total SSC tenure 10 years) for those who are willing to continue subject to laid down eligibility criteria.
Fee : One DD of Rs.200/- payable at New Delhi in favour of "Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund)"
